Omega rubber straps

I'd like the turquoise rubber strap (https://www.omegawatches.com/en-dk/...ocean-600m-turquoise-rubber-strap-032z018938w) for my 43.5mm 600m Planet Ocean watch. So obviously the size is 1mm too large as the strap is 22mm and the watch is 21mm lug width.

Does anyone have any experience in squeezing in a rubber strap that is too large on a Planet Ocean.

Also, am I right that the buckle that I have for a 21mm rubbers strap will not fit on the 22mm strap so I also have to purchase a new buckle?

I have an Omega rubber on my 300M - it is a very tight fit. I dont think there is anyway you would "squeeze" a 22MM into the 21mm gap.

Even if you manage to squeeze the 22mm strap into the 21mm lug width, it still won't fit right as that strap is meant for the Planet Ocean ETNZ chronograph (ref 215.92.46.51.01.003), which is noticeably thicker than the 43.5mm 8900 variant, so the strap could possibly push up against the bezel.

And yes, 22mm straps use a 20mm clasp while 21mm straps use 18mm.
