·Wait, Omega is bringing back the Lemania 2310? 😁
Will the new version fix the dreaded 12hr chrono creep? Or will that be a feature like the faux patina on a new Longines?

Based on the text of the press release, looks like trying to recreate as closely as possible 😲😲
I've always thought that the reason they didn't do a DON for the FOIS was they didn't want to dilute the vintage market and its upward pull on the modern reincarnations. Mass production of 321 parts would be similar - modern parts will be available for franken movements (but also earnest repairs) and undiscernible except to watchmakers and the most astute collectors.
Maybe they are only producing it for a super limited (and super expensive) release?
That is very interesting, I wonder whether they will try and remain completely faithful to the original cal 321 or update it ?
In time for the 50th anniversary Speedmaster
Next #SpeedyTuesday watch

As a vintage collector, I'm more interested in what this possibly does to the parts supply.
..................... (the part about the one watchmaker presiding over the workshop was a little confusing). Not sure if that's the case, .................................
I will not be buying one, but I think it is super-cool.
I’ve read that the 321 will not be in the 50th anniversary model(s?), which surprised me.
In any case, a very cool move by Omega.
made me chuckle..... so they have spent 12 months or what ever researching this with 'top secret' level and historians etc etc, wouldn't it have been easier to go down to the 'omega lock-up' / basement and get the old tooling machines (which we all know they still have), dust them off and crack on. Also makes me chuckle that they are pitching the 321 as some sort of ultimate watch movement made by artisan craftsman when it was a work horse chronograph and omega cared so little at the time it was manufactured under license by Lemania.
Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted that is making a come back but all the press and spin is just that, hype so they can justify charging a kings randsom for the 50th edition, which if I where speculating will be a limited run of perfect replica 145.012's and a limited run of perfect replica 105.003's, along with a box set of some combination which will no doubt cost more than a new Bentley.
This will be the anniversary watch maybe?

Their release made it seem like production will be very, very limited (the part about the one watchmaker presiding over the workshop was a little confusing). Not sure if that's the case, but it would make sense that the cal 321 becomes the ultra-coveted model that has people waiting forever. As a vintage collector, I'm more interested in what this possibly does to the parts supply. The knock on 321s has always been eventual access to replacement parts drying up, so does this solve the issue?
Perhaps some of our members who are in Bienne for Speedy Tuesday today will be able to expand upon this release?
