·Hi!
I would like to offer my Omega Ref. 2503-15, a relatively large steel Omega from the early 1950s. The case (36 mm) appears to have been polished only slightly, the caseback maybe a bit more. It shows only minor signs of wear. Original winding crown. The first version of this watch was launched in 1946, so it is still one of the truly elegant 1940s designs with a wide bezel and delicate side view.
The movement (266) is in nice condition; unfortunately, I do not know when it was last serviced. The Breguet hairspring and the large screw balance indicate exceptional quality. The ease of maintenance and availability of spare parts are also pleasing. The movement number (13 million) suggests that the watch was manufactured around 1951/52.
The dial is original, in good condition, and shows even patina; the acrylic glass is not from Omega. Although the reference 2503 does not seem to be rare in itself (there were at least 19 editions, i.e., 2503-1 to 2503-19), it may be rare with a well-preserved waffle dial with shiny red-gold-plated appliqués.
The watch comes without accessories. I'd like to get 790€.
Shipping by arrangement.
