Omega ref 2179 case question

Hi All,

I just wondered how common are the first 2179 cases please?

I normally see reference 2179/2.../3... /4 /5 etc,but have recently come across one with 2179 only.

Ref. 2179 was a fairly common reference prior to the “US Army” watches. Many different dial designs other than the iconic radial numerals.
