路Good morning! For those who could not get their hands on a Speedy Tuesday "Ultraman," here is something better and at a steep discount!
For sale is an uncommon Omega reference 14707 in solid 18k gold and linen dial. This watch appears nearly unworn with unpolished case and original buckle. Here are some details:
Case: Overall, the 18K yellow gold case is in excellent unpolished condition. The case has developed some patina, as it has not been polished before. The inside of lugs are sharp with retained bezel contours. There are a few tiny superficial scuffs, commensurate with age. Case measures 35 mm without crown, but wears a bit bigger due to thin bezel.
Crown: Signed original crown.
Caseback: Excellent condition snap down caseback. Inside is marked with reference 14707
Movement: Nice 30mm cal 267 movement. This watch was not serviced in my possession but has been running very well. If you intend on wearing it daily, a service is always recommended. 17.7 million movement dates the watch to around 1960.
Dial: Beautiful linen dial in excellent condition.
Hands: Original hands.
Buckle: Comes with original gold plated buckle, which looks beautiful. I believe the strap may be original to the watch as well, or an early vintage replacement. Strap is a bit tattered (see photo).
Regarding price, I am asking for $1650 shipped in the United States. International deals are not a problem and will ship at cost to buyer. Pricing this is tough since there are not many examples of reference 14707 that have sold online. There was one sale on OF that went for $1850 (https://omegaforums.net/threads/1950s-ref-14707-18k-rose-gold-c-268.11774/). Reasonable offers will therefore be considered!
