Omega Reduce II - 3539.50 - Problem with serial number

Hello Everyone.

I have an Omega Reduce II (3539.50).

Everything looks ok except for the serial number on the case back.

It is 5xxx in stead of 9xxx & I suppose that the case back is from other version (3510.50).

Is it a big problem for my watch ? I have heard that many Omega case back does not have serial number during polishing service. Is it normal case ?
Thanks all!

This model was discontinued years ago. Why do you think the serial number should be so high?

I checked many post on the forum and found that it should be started with number "9xx"

I'm confused by this too. Where does it say in that advert that the serial starts with 9xxx? 90m serials have only been seen on Omegas in the past couple of years, the newest Speedmaster Reduced is now over 10 years so it is impossible to find one with such a serial. I think you might be misunderstanding which number is the serial. Serials in the 50m range are from the 1990s.

Looks like you are right, that is indeed a 2007 watch on 90m. Weird. Ok so does yours have the sapphire crystal?

All the post of 3539.50 for sale is on 90m.
Yes mine is 3539.50 and with sapphire. Movement is 3220.

And yours seem to have a 50m serial number? If yours is the later sapphire crystal model then I would have expected a 2000-2010s serial but I guess it is possible they jumped from the 50m range to 90m. Possible but unlikely maybe. Omega serials do have jumps and gaps but that is a big jump.

I do not see any post of the same watch has 50m serial number.
That is why I made this post to see if there is any information.
In the worst case, if the watch has no original case back, is it a big problem for this case. _ ?
Thanks

Is it a low 50m serial or a high one? 50-55m is definitely wrong. 58-60m could be ok.

In some instances, it seems Omega runs a series of movements out of order. The Speedmaster "Replica" I had from 2000 has a 77M movement in it.

Al has confirmed in a previous discussion about these 90 million serial numbers that they are correct for the OP's watch reference.
I seem to recall he was as surprised as anyone when he ran a 90 m serial number through the Omega database.

Tom that is perfectly understandable and not out of order for a Pro. Speedy Pro serials jumped from 48m to 77m in 1999-2000 and stayed at 77-79.99m until quite recently, within the past year at least.

Oh interesting, I didn't know that! Wonder why?
