The numbers on the inside of my case don't match the online guide. Can anyone please help me make sense out of the following...

Are you asking about this number being your serial number? If so, it is your model number. The serial number is on the movement.

Delete your email I'd advise

What you mention is the reference. The serial is a 8 digit number somewhere on the movement
