Big difference between the Connies and the larger modern Omegas
Also lots more Constellations than the 14381
Check out the show and tell Connie thread for dozens of wonderful examples
Pie pans dome dials different case styles
Loads to choose from - and get hooked on!

Yeah, Definitely going to need to spend more time researching and looking for the perfect watch. I was thinking maybe something a little more modern since I have my vintage Seamaster that I should be getting back from service soon. But there is something I love about vintage and just cant seem to stray away from. Thanks for the advice, I definitely don't want to just limit myself to one style or movement, It seems every time open up a new forum I am finding something else that I get addicted too!

Highly doubt this was original "red star" for Brazilian market. The only watches that should have the star are those case references listed in the advertisement. This is a redial, pretty sure of it.

And how many times has the Brazilian Real, Cruziero, Cruzado, etc. been revalued over the past 70 years?

I think that the inflation adjusted figure should have at least another 2 zeros after it.

Thanks for the input, I did notice that it didn't match up to those listed and started doing some case reaching (very amateur at best). But then I saw the star under the 2750-5 on the back of the case. I now realize that could also just indicate that it was a Teddington case and not specifically the "Red Star".

Don't think the two stars are related.

The star on the case back is a makers mark and was used everywhere.

The red star on the dials were only for Brazil. There are rumors that these Teddington watches were specially adjusted to be equivalent to chronometers, but I've never seen any evidence to back those claims.

Hope this helps,

Our Central Bank has a tool that will adjust inflation/different currencies over the years: https://www3.bcb.gov.br/CALCIDADAO/publico/corrigirPorIndice.do?method=corrigirPorIndice

Quite useful for contracts pre-1994 (when we last changed currency)
