In the end, worth the dial, the movement + what youget for a set of hands without lume, a badly polished case, an aftermarket glass and a scrambled caseback. Three out of the later four (original glass never seen) I would have intended to replace plus a crown, that would have easily been another 2,5k to spend and maybe 0,5 to get. Still not knowing and rather doubting the status of the radium on the dial, not the best catch ever. so i am templed to say congrats that the watch suddendly fell.
let‘s see whether it reappears in serviced condition with another dent or even more polished 😀)))

It will be on a Instagram dealers page within a week at 3-4 times the price with nothing more than a freshly polished crystal 😗

His seller’s feedback is <0
Yeah, this is one of those situations where the ebay feedback system is broken. Guy could have bought 100 flashlights from china for a dollar each, screwed someone over as a seller for thousands, and his feedback rating is still 99%...

A bid with non published bidders listing. LOL.
And no mention of the new dent and the movement not ticking. ;-)

Lying misremembering scum bucket actually said this 2 days after sale and payment.

Hey man sorry I haven't gotten back to you faster. While I was packing the watch up today, I dropped it and it stopped ticking. I took it over to a watch shop near us to see what was wrong with it. They looked at the brand and age and refused to open or look at it as they don't work on any watch valued over 1000 dollars so I'm sending it to a company I found online that can fix it. I don't know how that will take so I'm going to refund you for the sale and relist it after I get it back. Im sorry man, I know you were hoping to have me ship that out today.

And canceled the sale immediately.

Sold for $4950.
How, what a crazy price. With all necessary repair and replacements this one becomes extremely overpriced. And the dial can hardly be restored to a nice collector‘s condition.
Let‘s see if the buyer plays the „seller‘s game“ and steps back ;-)

By the way, seeing the pic with the omega logo on the glass. Is this the authentic logo from 1958-1960, an omega replacement from later in the Century or a third-party replacement? After all the research I did in the past, I believed to come to the conclusion that the original logo should have straight legs and not the „smiling“ happy legs. What is your opinion / knowledge on this?

If you look at the case back you can see 2 indentions on the inner rim . This is the part that sits against the o-ring and forms the seal. TO me this suggest there is a problem with the fit of the case back and at the very least you would need to have it replaced. I think that from your perspective it turned out for the best in the end.

Plus the crown, the hands, the over-polished case 😀)))
