Hi All,

Bought this watch in Sri Lanka I have a second identical watch that belonged to my grandfather but not sure if this could be a ranchero? I do know he got this for his service with the Sri Lankan Police in the late '50s but would like to know more.

Cheers

Could be a Ranchero, not a Railmaster. I was in Sri Lanka ~40 years ago, and it was lovely!

A shot of the case back would help to confirm, especially the inside.

Do you have any more pictures of the watch, especially what's inside?

I wouldn't have expected the caseback to look like this.

It doesn't look like a 2990 or 2996 caseback.

You should have the watch opened by a good watchmaker and see what's inside.

Sorry I dig up this thread but it tickles my curiosity.
This really looks like an original factory dial,
the fonts, the fine printings , the extra small serif on the numbers
everything is perfectly accurate.
Have we ever seen another exemple of a white center second Ranchero ?
