I've come across something strange. Not sure about this Ranchero 30mm with the 283 caliber.

What are your thoughts on this?

I'll give you a hint. This is not an authentic Ranchero and you don't want it. Do your research.

Should be a 2990/2996 case for a Ranchero. 2990 for the subsecond version and 2996 for the sweep second version. The cases are identical and often double stamped. The only difference is that the 2990 has a flat case back whereas the 2996 has a slightly domed case back to accommodate the slightly taller sweep second movement.
