Dear forum friends, I am thinking to start a thread, where we can share our knowledge about Omega prices... Being in the Vienna Airport (they have a large watch store), I took some photos. I think it would be interesting to see and compare prices between different parts of the world, or between different countries. Between February and November 2015 the prices have increased 25% in the same store. Comparing the prices in Vienna Airport with the UHREN Catalog for the current year, they were almost identical. Here are some Omega watches with prices (November 2015) - Europe - Vienna Airport (EURO):
Thanks for sharing your photos and information. Unfortunately, prices have gone up but didn't think it was as high as 25%. I really like the Grey Side of the Moon Speedmaster. I was in the Carribean in November and none of the Omega boutiques had them in stock.
Prices here in Switzerland are about 8% more than the prices in your photos, which makes sense because the watches are made here so they should be.....uhhh....errrr.....no wait..... How should that work again?
You got a like from me for a great user name.... How about you add an avatar! And my guess is they are duty free prices
I'm thinking it must be duty-free and that's why they are comparatively 8% more expensive here in CH.
I can only really comment on the 300 (233.30.41.21.01.001) since that's a watch I've recently looked at. I know for a fact that it's available at Raffi Jewellers in Ontario (Canada) for around CAD $6,700 (4,460 EURO). Breakdown: Vienna: 5,500 EUR = ~ 8,260 CAD (TAX FREE) Ontario: 6,700 CAD = ~ 4,460 EURO (13% TAX NOT INCL.) Total Ontario: 7,571 CAD = ~ 5,040 EURO (TAX INCL.) Savings: Vienna (5,500 EUR) - Total Ontario (5,040 EURO) = 460 EURO/ 691 CAD * Based on 1 EURO = 1.50 CAD
Thanks. I suppose I should add an avatar, but I've been too lazy. If you're in the US, GSOTM prices have been tanking in the grey market ("unworn condition/protective plastics in place, with warranty card"). I think they're currently in the US$7700-US$7800 range.
Thanks for sharing. One question, can anyone help me identify the reference of the second watch from the top? Speedy white dial with red hands? Thanks
Thanks! Pity for the hands ... for a moment I had hoped Omega finally decided to reintroduce the beautiful red hands of the old Speedy Racing dials
I paid $5100 taxes in for my brand new 3750 two weeks ago at an AD, here in Toronto, Canada. I think I got a good deal.
Seeing these prices makes my eyes water, I love my watches and I used to have a couple of new ones in the rotation, the last I bought in 2008, but when I compare the prices of then and now they must have gone up at least 50% € 5K for one of those 1980s style Constellations! Incredible!
Totally agree Chris!!! Would much rather have one of these on my wrist... They are cooler and look so much better on the wrist!
In Brazil prices are also discounted since FX has devalued enormously and prices have remained flat in local currency
