Hi. I am new to this forum and its my first post here. Recently I was offered a pre moon Speedmaster with rare blue bezel. There is a little information about this particular model on the web. I would really appreciate if you could please inform me about the value of this watch.

A few of couple of our members have '69s with DON blue bezels. However this one is really blue. Additionally being a ca. 321 it's either a '67 or if it's earlier then the chrono sweep has been changed not to mention the crown. The serial number will let you know for sure.

I'm no expert and the real experts are welcome to correct me if I'm wrong. What the hell, they'll do that anyway ;)

I dont think speedmaster101 has much to say about blue bezels in paeticular. From google:

No results found for "blue bezel" site:speedmaster101

Some bezels turn blue. I don't think it adds mich $$ as premium.

Speedmaster101 will guide you through the rest about the watch though.

At that age there's definitely some replacement parts as mentioned by @MikiJ - probably at service. It will impact value but it's still a pretty nice example overall.

You don't think the OP would like to know about a good speedmaster reference that is helpful for listed facts and valuations?

    Sir ,
I have been a member since the beginning. I am a Moderator here. Speedmaster 101 is a site run by one of our most valued Omegaforums members. We acknowledge their expertise and contributions, just as we do with several other sites.
It is a great resource. The OP was not sent away, he was merely given more information to help with his inquiry.
We are not a site that demands exclusivity. We welcome all in the watch community, many members and moderators from other Forums also participate here. Wait until you have some history here before you lecture.

Feeling a marketing post. Professional quality shots on a red background to pop the blue.

Additionally blue has been pushed in the pics in post processing. The gasket is blueish, the red has a high blue value, and the sapphires present way too much purplish blue then they should.

My apologies... But in person it will not be that blue.

Well some quick notes for you.
All the blue bezels seem to be 105.012-64 models
Serial looks like 22m but its blurred out in the picture which would be correct range.
You can see a reference at this page http://speedmaster101.com/105-012/

What I see as faults is that it appears the lume has been scrapped off the dial, and the hands are later hands but appear to be at least pre 76 by the ageing, but most likely earlier and not in the best condition, it appears the lume has started to fall out of the hour hand. So this watch is between running and good before you factor the added value of the blue bezel. http://speedmaster101.com/price-chart-2/

These do not appear that much, and afiak the price for these is not as established as tropical brown dial prices, and even those are all over the place.

Thanks for all the info. I would say that this watch is worth around $9000 with the blue bezel.
