Omega pocket watch gets a new life

Good afternoon everyone, I am a new member and just took my first steps as a watch collector. I have collected other things in the past and work in the museum business.

About a year ago I was offered a Omega pocket watch that needed lots of help. Being the person that I am, I often feel sorry for items that have been neglected. So I bought the watch and decited to get it restored. And six months later it came back today looking stunning and in full working order. From the serial numbers it is most likely from 1918-1925. We could not save the patina but left enough for it to come back in time.

Well Thank God. I was bracing myself opening this thread, expecting to see some noob having strapped a pocket watch to his wrist.

Nicely done Siggy.

Beautiful watches!. When I see those I wish I could go back in time to wear suit and vest with pockets every day to be able to have one of them hanging from a chain 🙁

My Brandt (Omega) grade CCR, 19-jewel from circa 1910 says hi. These are basically the same movement as yours, but these were made for railroad use. I have two,of them.
