Huh, neat! The reverse is kind of neat too. DIDN'T we realize at one point it was actually a factory option? Or did we decide it was only mods?

The opinions differ a bit. Omega supposedly tested with this case orientation, but divers didn't like the crown part sticking in their suit sleeves. But most reversed cases are just wrongly assembled.

I heard from a collector that there are no C-shape case "lefty's". Also a friend of mine pored over the "Seamaster vintage" book, which has some information about this. Anyway, I acquired a date disc for a regular orientation and will have this done together with a service.

After wearing it on the OEM vintage rubber strap (service part) & OEM modern orange rubber strap, switched back to the OEM mesh bracelet to have the heaviest look and feel.

Been wearing my Summer Blue one with the mesh bracelet for a while and it really balances the watch out nicely. The adjustability of the OEM bracelet is great and this it has the best overall look.
