I know that the lug width of the Planet Ocean 39.5 is 19 mm. And it's kind of hard to find rubber straps in that width. Does anyone know if there is any Omega Rubber straps that will fit? Maybe a 20 mm that you fitted onto it? Or any suggestions of other rubber straps would be really helpful.
You do realize that this watch is sold new on a rubber strap, right? Omega calls it a leather strap with rubber lining, but it's fully waterproof. I think it's a perfect match for the high-bling nature of this diver. https://www.omegawatches.com/watche...ial-master-chronometer-395-mm/21533402001001/
Yeah I have seen that, but dont like the styling of it. Was wanting something more sportier looking like the older PO rubber straps or the ones seen with the bigger sizes. But thanks for the reply
The 19mm size does limit your options somewhat. I will say the OEM leather/rubber strap looks great on the watch, but it does have a dressy vibe which led me to buy the bracelet for mine about a month after I bought it. I use both now, and have no druthers for anything else on this watch.
Only problem with that strap is the lug hole to case distance is different, so either you might not be able to fit the strap on if it's too tight or it will leave a noticeable gap it it's too loose. The ops only option might be some home surgery on one of the older Omega full rubber straps. That might be possible as at least the curved end is made of rubber and softer than the newer curved ends which are of a hard plastic.
hey did you manage to find an alternative or tried the 20mm? I am quite desperate in the same situation as you are..
Yeah I know, this was released recently - also there's a brown version - unfortunately I've got the blue PO so both look really shitty on it. I already wrote Omega if they are planning to release one for the blue one too, but they never replied.
yup: https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-...ial-master-chronometer-39-5-mm-21592402001001 you can see all the variations if you scroll down
Not a rubber strap, but I believe the old Aqua Terra 38.5 model lug width was also 19 mm. The Good Planet strap might work. https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/...-omega-master-co-axial-38-5-mm-23192392104001
yes you are absolutely right - I've ordered it to my local Omega Boutique and tried it on the blue PO, but the blue doesn't match and it looks really cheap.
The one on the ceramic looks good. Has anyone tried the new Aqua Terra rubber? The lug width is the same, but wonder if it fits good enough with the metal on top of the strap.
I don't have a clue as to the manufacturers of these but they are all fair quality. All sourced from Amazon. (One is a Victorinox. Sorry about the lint/dust.)
Subscribed...I'm in the same boat. Took the bracelet right off and picked up a $13 Bond style 2 piece but I know I will want to change up at some point.
One on eBay for 250. I would call an AD might be a little cheaper. I was surprised when I bought my cordura strap it was 230 and saw them going for more online.
