Glad you got your band situation sorted out and are testing out different straps for the big boy 45.5!

Here’s my new to me 42mm on some different black straps, rubber oem deployant, amazon natos and a Tempomat rubber that’s pretty comfy. I just found a comfy nato brand you can get on amazon called Strap Habit, they’re super comfy elastic natos you can throw on for a lighter feeling than an OEM nato. The blue striped one is from them and I have a black one coming tomorrow for the PO. Enjoy the strap collecting! Cheers 🍻

New to me 2200.50 Planet Ocean with new Omega rubber Planet Ocean strap + OEM bracelet. Because it was serviced in 2024 I was wondering about whether the 2500 movement was upgraded to version B or C. From my research it appears the A version beat at 28,800bph. It does not appear to be beating at that rate. The app reading bph says it's beating at 25,200 so my guess it was updated to the C version. I opened the back but don't have the expertise to know if you can see if the movement was upgraded during the 2024 servicing.

The 2500A movement was released in 1999 and phased out by 2000. The 2500B replaced it in 2000 to around 2004. Both the A and B beat at 28,800 bph.

The 2500C was released in 2005 and all of the 2200.50 and 2201.50 Planet Ocean's had the C movement until they were released with the 2500D in around 2011-12. This was at the very end of the model's run. The D version has a different font on the date wheel.

When 2500A and B movements are serviced the beat rate is not changed. They remain beating at 28,800. Omega changed its lubrication methods to deal with initial problems those versions had.

If I'm not mistaken, the date font you mention on the 2500D was, in particular, a pointed top "4" as one dileator of the D movement. Here on the 24th of May, I clearly have a flat-top "4" thereby deducing my movement as a 2500C.

The "4" is definitely a tell. Just about every number has a tell--but not "1" and "11". I once wrote them all down as I had both a D and C, but now I just have a C and I never saved my list. 🙁
