Well once again this prompts me to think there are two kinds of collectors.
Those who want as close to NOS, the triple C men who have watches so perfect they cannot wear them.
Then we have people who appreciate these things, with plenty of character and wear, that honestly show their history.
What I do not like is the partially restored watches shown by dealers who clean things up so that the watch then falls between two stools, neither original nor perfect.
I too know nothing about these watches.
However I don't think you would go too far wrong buying them and learning. While I advocate research before buying, I don't seem to learn quite as well as when I buy...
