Thank you everyone for your posts and pics. It was very helpful in my Panda pick. Tokyo 2020 Panda ended up on top. Very beautiful piece. Like the Rising Sun, pics just don't do it justice. All though the price for a unworn one was steeper than the other four Tokyo's, I can definitely see why. The creamy white dial with black sub dials is a Iconic looking watch. This one is a keeper for me.

Wise choice. These dials wear well, you won't get tired of it.

Congrats!

I think it’s perhaps a missed nuance that ( *I believe* ) these are not a “white dial” the same as “the other” white dial Speedmasters - this Tokyo 2020 is more pearlescent than flat white.

!00 % agree. I like that your calling it a Pearlescent dial which is exactly what it is. My "creamy white" reference just doesn't do it justice.

This is correct, the term 'white' is used pretty freely on light colored Speedmaster dials. There are about four main dial 'colors' for these watches: 1) the dial for the Mitsukoshi, Apollo 11 35th,Tokyo 2020 and other LE dials (like the CK 2998's) are a pearly silver with a satin finish, often called opaline, 2) the 3593.20 (Albino) and the 3570.20 (with moonphase) have cream matte dials often described as cream, beige, ivory or ecru, 3) true white dials are on the Alaska Project and Snoopy 45th watches, and 4) the dial on the Tokyo 2020 Rising Sun is a unique one, it's a darker silver grey with a distinct sugary finish. All four are distinctly different in person although they look similar in pictures and are often called white or silver.

May I ask how/where yo got that 2 very special speedys?

The Red Bezel came from a reputable dealer on the Rolex forum (Original Sold at US OB). And the Panda was bought from reputable dealer on Chrone 24 (Originally from OB in Japan)

Thank you for the pics. It's amazing how different your white dials look side by side. In seperate photos you'd think they were all the same dial. By the way, very nice collection. I've always been a sucker for a white dial.
