IMG_2048.jpeg IMG_2049.jpeg IMG_2050.jpeg IMG_2051.jpeg Hi there

I’ve inherited a couple of my father’s watches. One is a Seamaster that was in a bag of broken watches and on a horrible non original strap, scratched up & non running. I didn’t know much about it and took it to a watchmaker in London to see if it could be salvaged.

I’m very impressed with the result! What is very cool is that I’ve since found the original box and paperwork. The date of sale is 1961!

As an Omega newbie, can any of you given me any information on the model, if it’s rare or common, maybe an estimate of value. I’m not going to sell it but am curious to know.

Thanks!

The Omega Vintage Database doesn’t have a listing for Ref. 14723. But it does have one for Ref. 14722;

From what I can see, the 14722 and 14723 shared the same case, which was frequently marked for both.

My guess is that the only difference is that the Ref. 14723 has the upgraded cal. 520 movement.

Hope this helps,
