Picked up my first omega nato yesterday. These threads are dangerous for my wallet.

Omega makes the best NATOs in the game. I find phenomenato to get close but not quite. Can anyone recommend any other really high quality brands that have that slick seatbelt feel like Omega?

I just came across an article that reviewed a bunch of NATOs - the ones made by a company in Canada really caught my eye: Moose Strap Co. I picked up two of their Premium Slim NATOs and two of their Premium Plus NATOs. The Premium Plus has a solid buckle, no spring bar. $20 each for the Slims and $25 each for the Plus. Free shipping to the States (after a certain dollar amount) and they were running a deal - buy 3, get the 4th free (so wound up being $75 in the end). I have no affiliation with them, so not a sales pitch - just seemed pretty affordable to me and thought I'd mention it.

They're still in-transit so I haven't had a chance to check them out but they appear to have that same slick seatbelt feel. And, that article I found (GearPatrol, I think), which compared them to others, mentioned the smooth feel. Excited to get these and try them out. The color selection for the Plus model is pretty limited currently... asked them about this and they said they have 4 more colors coming out in March.

The Omega NATO I had was super comfortable but I sold it along with my 300 Master Coaxial so won't be able to do a side-by-side comparison with these from Moose Strap Co.

For members in the U.S., it looks like Omega is no longer including a spring bar tool with the NATO strap. It can be purchased for $10. I'm curious to see if they still include the red case and extra spring bars.

I ordered a NATO on Tuesday. When I did, I saw the same on the website, "Excludes OMEGA spring bar tool". When it was delivered on Thursday, I received a spring bar tool in the red case. Didn't receive extra spring bars.

The coated nylon strap is one of my favorite straps for the Planet Ocean.

So does US Omega still throw in a free spring bar tool despite the cart saying it's not included?

So I received my Omega NATO today. Had to pay for the spring bar tool and didn’t come with the extra spring bars. Also the tip of the tool is exactly the same as a Bergeon 7676f FYI.

I own three Omega NATOs and have had a love/hate relationship with them, tilted to the hate side. But for me this combo works particularly well and has become my go-to strap for this watch when I’m not wearing it on the original stainless steel bracelet.

Omega at the galleria in Houston gifted me one after purchasing a strap or two. When my order came in I received a call that stated my rubber strap is in along with my spring bar tool. When I asked to buy one previously I was told they aren’t for sale. You have to give them a reason to give it up.
