OMEGA Nato straps

The Omega straps are definitely of higher quality than several of the regular NATOs I've come across but they're not expensive because of their quality, they're expensive because they are branded 'Omega'. A watch brand like this can't/won't be selling stuff for a pittance. That's just brand suicide.

Max

Fully agree, besides there comes an original OMEGA buckle with is what is retailed already around 75 USD...

Had to update, just to say - I put the leather one on my 145.022 and as I put it on I literally said 'wow' - this is the best feel of any strap I have worn - the leather is amazing, unbelievably soft. It's in no way distressed, so not a look everyone will go for on a vintage piece, but it's soooo comfortable ...

Help me out, where did you buy this and for how many $? Love it!

If you are in CONUS, call them & ask for Kelly. If not, they have other shops in London, Paris, Tokyo etc plus mail order. It was $145 plus tax

Word of caution on matos
The nylon on the newer watches with 8500 or 9300 are too thick for the thick nato
Make sure you try them out on the watch before you commit

I think it's worth it. The look and quality are unmatched. Sure, it's a lot of coin to shell out. Especially when cheaper alternatives abound. But you get what you pay for.

I'm buying a strap from my local Omega Boutique, partly because I'm willing to pay for the best, partly because I want to know it's authentic, and partly to reward the OB for all the help they've given me. I bought a Seamaster from them years ago, but since then I've only gone there for Seamaster service (which they sent out) and for demos. The technician and I spent considerable time discussing Omegas in general and Speedmasters in particular as he is a huge fan and collector. I bought my Speedy used, online, from a trusted seller but it was the information I gleaned from out discussions that helped me pick the perfect model for me. I owe him. So until I pony up for a new Omega I will patronize this OB for everything I can. Heck, I even bought the Aqua Terra Cologne last night. I love this cologne!

Cool new Olympic straps on Omega website!

I'm really considering this for my Alaska Project, but no matter how many straps I put it on, I always end up with the bracelet.

I recommend a PhenomeNato. http://phenomenato.com

2 different lengths, 20 or 22mm, hardware is brushed or polished and they also have an HD version (a bit thicker). Personally, I have the short Black/Grey "Bond" version and it the BEST NATO I own, hands down. I have handled the Omega strap and it is beautiful but the price is hard to justify. Plus its ridiculously long.

The other strap I bought (second hand) was a Tudor strap from a Black Bay Blue. Iotally different but absolutely amazing. Its my best strap (its not a true NATO) and the feel screams quality. I happily wear it on my 22mm lug width watches, Tudor or not.

Match made in heaven.
