Hi,
I decided to sell this example of a 1952-53 Omega ref 2639 since I have similar watches in my rotation. The watch houses a calibre 266 movement that is running strong and keeping excellent time. I do not know the service history, but again it appears to be clean and running strong. The stainless steel case is marked correctly inside the back cover and as far as I can tell has not been polished. It has minor scuffs and scratches as can be seen in the pictures. The case measures 35mm in diameter and 43mm lug to lug. The crown appears to be original with the Omega symbol. As far as I can tell the only thing that is not in original condition is the dial, which is refinished. This refinish was done to a high standard, as I hope can be seen in the pictures. The hands, IMO, have a nice patina (again please look at the pictures). The watch is on a black genuine crocodile strap that is slightly worn. I am asking 350$ shipped in Con USA. Will ship international, but please contact me to figure out shipping cost. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! Joe

They say nudity helps sell, so here you go ;-)

Not watch related but like the background - the Hashiguchi Goyô woodblock reminds me a bit of Utamaro with a more western subject matter.

Yes, many westernized features. Goyo trained in western style oil painting as well as traditional woodblock techniques.
Personally I am more a fan of traditional woodblock techniques. I have been collecting late period artist like Kuniyoshi and Kunisada.
