Don't know if that lugs style has a name but have always like the graceful curved appearance of the lugs as they blend with the case.

Yes, I believe this style of dial would be correct for a 2505.

There is some confusing information about this reference. The Omega database (which could obviously be wrong) states the ref is from 1946 and that it should house cal 265/266 movements. The 26X numbering system started in 1949, so it is not clear to me that what is the exact date this reference was released. FWIW - my 2505 has a cal 30T2.

ok, so I keep finding these being sold as 2505-2.

is there any certainty that a 2505-2 would come with this dial (and if it doesn't have this dial, then it's incorrect)?

is 9m the right serial range for 2505-2?

it's definitely this one I'd like to find..

My 2505/2580 has movement number 11.656.735 so guess it is an early 265 1948/49

Probably released when they stated with production going for a few years with the early ones having 30T2 and the later ones 265/66

Is this a fake 2505 dial (with that small subseconds subdial)?:

2603-4. Missing a couple of markers, but other than that it is a very clean watch. Any help finding markers would be appreciated. Will sell also.
