·Hi there! 😀
For sale is a lovely and quite uncommon Omega Seamaster Automatic "Jumbo" from 1950 with an extremely attractive two-tone dial that has patinated even and nicely. The watch has just gone through a FULL 325 € / 400 $ service which included a new crystal and gaskets.
The reference is 2494-3 and the movement is a 351 "bumper".
The reason for selling this lovely piece? No matter how much I want to wear it, years of wearing 34-35 mm. vintage models means that I simply can't get used to the size - its too big! 😁. Not something your hear often in regards to vintage watches. If you have the opposite problem as me and that you find vintage watches too small, you should definitely try this piece! 😀
I absolutely adore the style of the watch, so I am therefore more than willing to consider trades for one of the classic sized 34 mm. Omega Seamasters from the 1950´s with the beefy "lugs".
Case: The case is in a great condition with its original facets. A few scratches here and there. It measures a substantiel 36,5 mm without the original clover crown. It wears even bigger on the wrist due to the "beefy" lugs and large case.
Crown: A signed Omega clover crown original to the reference
Movement: An automatic cal. 351 in a very good condition. As stated, it has just been serviced here in march. Service papers and receipt will of course be included/shown prior to the sale. The last three photos has been taking by my watchmaker. The movement shots are quite grainy, which is due to them being taken as screenshots of a video that my watchmaker sent me, where he shows the movement after he finished the service. The video can of course be sent.
Dial: An original, unrestored and absolutely gorgeous two-tone dial with golden furniture, arabic numerals and a beautiful beige patina. It looks even better in the flesh!
Hands: Original golden hands in an excellent condition without any oxidation. Radium lume is still present on both the hands and the dial.
Crystal: Brand-new unsigned crystal in a perfect condition.
I am asking 869 euros / 1069 dollars / 769 pounds net to me for this piece, excluding postage and fees. The watch is located in Denmark (EU).
Payment through bankwire or a personal pick-up only.
No returns unless the watch is grossly misrepresented.
The watch comes with the strap that is seen on the pictures.
