    Hello experts! I am about to get a "new" omega hour vision, white and silver dial, which I understand being out of production. The caliber looks genuine to me, but would be very grateful if you could also cast an eye and let me know what you think.

    Is this an online purchase or can you handle the watch in person?

    If you can’t handle it in person, try searching for higher-end replicas of the same watch and do a comparison. They typically have high-detail pictures on those sites.

    If you can handle it in person, manipulating the crown is a great tell. Replicas have rudimentary movements and the crown action will be very poor. You could also take a slow motion video of the seconds hand and see if it ticks 5 times a second (most reps will beat at either 3 or 6 times a second).
