    Hi guys,

I'd appreciate your help on this if it's a good buy or not, at around USD310 - 410?

This is a 70's Omega Geneve cal.1030 17J manual wind, stainless case with 14karat 20 microns gold plating.
All original except for the new leather bracelet.
Case is 38mm, lug width 18mm.

Hope to get your feedback the soonest!

    Thank you!

    Hi
Firstly, I think some of your post has been lost? The part where you introduced yourself?

Secondly, the watch is genuine, but I'm concerned about the rust:

Compare that to a stock photo

This watch looks eerily familiar as I had a very similar model...

It's an ok price, but I got mine for a lot cheaper and it came with the original box and papers as well. It is a manual wind mind you, if that floats your boat. As stated above, beware rust.

I had it, it's now with another owner...

My question to you is what draws you to this watch. Or, as one of the news websites tells me, "Why should I buy what they want to sell?"

What do you think about it?
What has you research shown when this is compared to other examples?

^questions I wished I had asked with my first vintage purchases. Ended up with a box full of watches with very few I was attached to. However, rust-aside, if this piece floats your boat, the price isn't outrageous. As a seasoned novice, I would stick with the 600-family calibers as they are better IMO.
