I purchased a late 60s Geneve that was in nice overall condition (first picture). The watch was stored it in a dry environment at room temperature. The dial and crystal were not tampered with. Two months pass before I grab the watch and find fairly significant patina on the dial. I'm struggling to find an explanation for this fairly rapid "patina-ization". Any ideas?
