·For sale is a quite rare Omega Geneve Ref. 137.001
The 18k gold monocoque case (marked on the lug) houses the hand winding movement 602. According to the Omega bible "A Journey through Time" (page 479) this Geneve is out of 1969 and this is the only Geneve series which was Chronometer certified. Cal. 602 is quoted as "rare" (page 785)
Fratellowatches wrote an article on this special reference which is quite interesting. It is mentioned that according to various sources only 4000 pieces of this Omegas Geneve Chronometer were produced.
Omega Geneve - A Rare Chronometer (fratellowatches.com)
The overall condition of the watch is good (some scratches on the caseback and on the glas) allthough there are two things to bare in mind. There is a dent in the lug at 5 and the dial has a scratch between 11 and 12. (everything is visible on the pics)
Dial and crown are original, the glas might be an aftermarket and strap and buckle are not from Omega.
I would suggest a movement service as I don`t know the service history. (the watch looses about 20 seconds a day) As the watch is a frontloader I can`t provide movement pics.
The watch is situated in the European Union. Payment via PayPal is preferred.
Price: EUR 1.200 net
If you need further information or pics please let me know.
