·Hi friends,
The reason I'm selling this handsome fella is because, unfortunately for him and I, he's not getting the wrist time he deserves.
Specs for this nice, time only, Omega Geneve ref. 165.070.
Based on the 27 mil serial number the watch is from 1968-1969.
Case: Good condition with normal signs of wear. The case looks like it was polished in the past mainly noticeable on the case back. However, the lugs have sharp edges. The only nitpick is some pitting signs between the 12 o'clock lugs (see photo below).
Diameter is 35mm and 40mm lug to lug. Lug size is 18mm. The caseback is signed.
Dial and Hands: The main attraction is the dial. Depending on the light, it can go from a dark anthracite to a light metallic grey shade. It has an uncommon metallic finish with an interesting horizontal pattern. In addition to that it developed a minimal amount of patina which makes it even more interesting. On top of that just look at that logo!
The hands are in really good condition with only a few tiny specks of lume missing from the minute hand.
Glass: Original Omega plexi glass signed in the middle.
Movement: Cal. 552 automatic movement. The watch was serviced in February this year by a very good watchmaker. Service papers will be provided.
Crown: Original, signed Omega crown.
Band: Brand new, milk chocolate, handmade leather strap pictured in the photos.
Price: $700 + shipping or the equivalent in EUR. Worldwide shipping via EMS.
Feel free to contact me for more details or photos.
Feedback:
I have a few transactions with very happy new owners.
