Some members of my family received this piece as an inheritance, they dont have any idea what is the price of it, I have made a reseach of the piece but Im not really sure what price to use. If you or your uncle intend to keep it have it serviced without polishing.
If your uncle wants to sell it, put it on a kitchen scale. Then deduct 20g from the weight and multiply that number by...

On Ebay some people are asking $7k. That is a good price ?

 

Someone can ask whatever they want, that doesn't necessarily have any relation to what something is worth.

 

So, can I apply the omegastar formula to calculate the price?

 

If you like but the answer would be about half the eBay price (which is stupidly high) or less I would think.

ps I would put the movement/crystal/dial deduction higher than 20g personally.

 

Dial has around 3 to 4g which was not included. Less than 20g for cal. 565 with all in.

 

It's not a particularly sought after model like a DeLuxe or Centenary so it's worth is probably just over the gold.

Yes dreamland, but, I have seen those prices on Ebay.

 

There are even more mundane gold watches on our very own sales corner for higher asking prices but the seller doesn’t seem to take the hint even though he has had to bump about 7 times. You can ask what you like but what you actually get...

 

People think because they have an old watch made of gold they are "rich".
