Vintage Omega Geneve ref.nr. 166.0173

The watch is from the 60ies or 70ies. I am considering buying it online at around 500€. Unfortunately I don't have better pictures.
The crown is not original. Box is included. Case width 36mm. Original steel band. Original acrylic crystal.

From what I saw online, I haven't seen the omega logo in the circle on the movement like that, otherwise it looks good to me in my humble unexperienced opinion. I think there is a faded omega logo on the rotor which is barely visible in the photos.

Do you think the movement is original and/or not from another model? How does it look to you? Does the condition of the movement look good to you? Would you consider the price fair?

Would appreciate any help, thank you!

The hands look incorrect. If dial has lume, then the hands should be lumed. Also, they look to be a little short.

Are the hands perhaps also a slightly different color tone of metal vs the batons? Or is that just an optical illusion because of the lack of lume?

It looks fine to me but, as you say, the photos are poor.

The movement looks okay but probably in need of a service which would cost you around €150 depending on where you are.

The case and dial are okay but not pristine and neither the watch nor the 1012 movement are particularly sought after although it is an Omega and performs perfectly well.

That said, if you’re really keen, you might offer €350 but I wouldn’t think of going much higher.

Thanks for the comments, I ended up not going through with it as I agree that the hands look a bit off.
