Firstly, I searched these terms and did not find a thread containing only the Omega Geneve.

In any case, being that I am a new owner of an Omega Geneve, and the reason for that is I personally like the aesthetic of the watch I bought--I thought it would be nice to have a place on OF for Geneve collectors and owners alike to share info and images.

I'll start.

This is my new purchase--perhaps poor decision, but that's yet to be determined--although I am almost certain I overpaid at this point.

In the 1950s, the original Genève was, with the exception of the 30T2Rg Chronometres, at the the top of Omega's manual-wind model line. The cases were finished finely, and the markers were made of gold, though the movements used were shared with many other models.

They were produced in two sizes, the smaller around 34mm and the 36mm "Jumbo" version, as it is sometimes called by collectors.

The Geneve definitely deserves its own thread. There's so many interesting variations. Here's a couple of mine - I like blue dials ;0)

My other Geneve in 9ct Dennison case. For some reason Dennison don't seem to have been too bothered about putting on the "correct" hands as I've seen several others like this.

 

I love this watch. An April 2018 OF purchase. The previous owner originally purchased it from valued OF member and contributor, Norman.

 

Love x 10. I'm mad about sub-seconds Geneves from this era. Should you ever, y'know, um, er, decide to part with one.....Dibs?
