Something like this happened to me before. I fixed it by clicking on 'delete current avatar'. Not sure if it's applicable in your case though.
Change mine a bit, doesn't always change after you log out and log back in. Sometimes it still shows the old but when I post the new one comes up. Settles over time.
I'm having the same avatar issue; it reverts to the first image I uploaded, no matter what image I upload. The only thing I can do to change it is to not have one. Logged out and back in, cache has been cleared. I'm on chrome.
As Jim stated, it's a cache issue. Until your computer clears its cache it will keep filling in the old Avatar.
@cicindela Can you explain a bit more what you mean? I'm a software engineer by trade, am familiar with browser caching, and as I have said, I cleared my cache.
If you have cleared you cache then I can't help you . Let's ask Ash if it is something on our end. @dsio
I find browsing in the WRUW or Private Sales threads are the quickest and easiest way to clear my cash...
Since the server upgrade, I'm getting quite a few images that aren't loading, avatars and such. Anyone else?
i have following issue: omegaforum on pc/laptop and android phone, can't open on my Phone the PM sended on my pc/laptop or vice versa
It would be nice if we had some sort of polling feature, and maybe replaced the auctions tab with a dedicated section for all the sales subforums. Also, a search-within thread feature would be really useful – it would make it much easier to see if suggestions like those above have already been made.
Hi mods, Happy holidays! Just noticed that now, after you start a thread, you have to click “follow” in order to receive notifications when people reply. I remember this was not the case before - you were automatically a follower of your thread.
click on your profile icon top right -> settings Tick both boxes if you want email notifications And save
If on an Android device, the selection simply reads "Time Zone" Took me a second as I was looking for "Email Alerts"
Account activation mails are to *@outlook.com addresses aren't being delivered - they don't even appear in the spam/filtered mail, they simply disappear. I had to change to using a *@gmail.com mail to get the account activated. Not sure if the issue is on the sending end or if it's being blocked by Microsoft, unfortunately.
Well, One thing that you need to look into is a better solution regarding administration and approval of new ads. It's now been roughly 30h since I posted my ad and still no approval and it's sadly been the same the last 3-4 ads.
You know this forum is free to use right? That the administration is done by people on their own time? And that they may have other things going on that are more important than watches?
I manage one of the biggest forums in Scandinavia so I'm well aware, thank you for pointing that out. I'm using this thread to do exactly what they asked for, provide input and my input is exactly as I wrote, it can't take over 24h to approve an ad even if its free. When it takes this long people will choose other places to advertise. The solution is to have more admins, just admins who have access to the sales area.
