I am offering for sale this Flightmaster 145.013, in untouched and original condition.
The standout feature of this watch is its stunning dial with beautifully aged brown subdials. As a dedicated collector of Flightmasters, my observation is that the subdials tend to turn brown due to gas released when the crystal’s seal deteriorates over time. While this theory is based on my experience with four Flightmasters that I’ve collected — all acquired with melted seals — it might not be entirely accurate. Typically, this aging process also affects the minute track, turning it yellowish, but in this particular example, the minute track remains a crisp white.
For added context, all the specimens I’ve encountered with this feature had serial numbers above 29135###, including this one.
All components on this watch are original. The hands retain their original tritium, which matches the indices on the dial, and show no signs of moisture spots. The pushers feature the single red dot, and the side crowns retain their original color. Additionally, the hour-setting crown is the early version with the narrow Omega symbol. The case is unpolished and remains sharp, with some scuffs and wear consistent with its age.
The bracelet is a 1159/155 in excellent condition.
