I just received my new flightmaster 145.013. I already had a next to perfect condition 145.023 but i could not pass on this one. The dial patina is just amazing. It was just serviced, the crystal was replaced and the watch was fully waterproofed and tested at 3ATM. Every single pusher gasket was replaced. How cool is it to have a 55 year old chrograph that is fully waterproof.

It looks really very nice, have you considered a case refinish? I think it would then present even better.

I agree. Since it seems to have been "refinished" once already (i.e the brushed finish has been polished away), I would have it done again, correctly. Regardless, a very nice watch.

I would be much more concerned about getting it done well, than getting it done locally. Ship it to Tanner Morehouse (TMWatch) and it will be.

Funny thing is, it was serviced at TMWatch. I will reach out to them to get an idea of what kind of work they do in the refinishing department.

Make sure, thy are able to do the sunburst grinding, which requires special tooling, not radial as later model.
Would be also great to find yellow single dot pushers to match the no dot dial.

Good idea. And unless the bracelet is near perfect, I would have that redone also. Regardless of the condition of the case, the bracelet should match it.

It is currently on a new service bracelet as the original one that came with it is one link too short for my fat wrist. The original bracelet is the 1159, if anyone has a spare link or two and willing to sell them, I would buy them.

It’s not refurbished then is it?
It’s serviced.
We are talking semantics now? A body has to be refinished now for a watch to be refurbished? For me the fact that it was put back in working order, all the gaskets were replaced to make it waterproof, the glass was also replaced and the case was also probably polished goes a step farther than a simple service. Honestly I am not even sure what your statement was supposed to bring to the discussion about the watch.

Pretty watch except for the almost mirror-like polish.
