··the Lone Star Watch CollectorHere's everything we know so far.
The Omega Seamaster "First Light" is the brand's worst kept secret. While some have speculated that the watch would be an existing SKU, the early screenshots suggest the watch is a new model, simply due to the color (potentially) but especially the strap.
We see a NATO-style strap which looks completely different from any Omega has offered recently (my history on NATO straps in the Omega catalog is shaky).
Couple of things that stand out to me:
1) Seamaster with a 9*** movement meant to run all the time.
2) The material remains a mystery. A contact at Omega indicated the watch was steel, but the screenshots look more like titanium.
And the things that scare me:
1) Insane price. This has become a staple of Omega’s catalog.
2) No bracelet option. Kind of makes sense but I'm guessing one of the other watches in the family will have a bracelet that fits. Would be awkward though if we don't have a matching material.
ID Guy just posted this in depth YouTube video about the piece.
And his mockup of the piece.
What are everyone's thoughts? Not the most exciting release but I like the idea of another Bond Seamaster that doesn't plaster 007 over the front.
