Omega f300 cone - Seamaster or not?

G’day all.
Quick back story, have been offered a very tidy cone-cased f300. Interested because I don’t have one.
Seller is very reliable, have bought from him many times. His sources (Japanese typically) appear to be legit given the quality of offerings he has.
But, the watch has the ‘plain’ f300 electronic chronometer dial with a Seamaster caseback.
End of manufacturing run, or beginning perhaps?
Or, less likely, swapped out dial/caseback?

Couple of photos attached, input invited.
Thanks in advance.

It's not uncommon to see non-Seamaster dials in watches with Seamaster-branded casebacks. Sometimes even "Genève" dials in Seamaster cases.

Cool. Thanks for that.
I did a decent search of f300s for sale on line and couldn’t find one example, but I was sure I’d seen a couple in the past. I have Seamaster and Constellation branded f300s and have had in the past Geneve but all had appropriate casebacks. thx again

Best resource I know is Paul's electric-watches.co.uk. The page on these beauties says of your 198.012 "The crown at 2 case came in both polished and with radial graining. Also the caseback was with and without the Seamaster logo. I believe the very first version was polished and with no Seamaster logo on the back."

The interwebs, amiright? Love these quirky forgotten gems. Buy and enjoy! (Paul services these as well, I'm a satisfied customer).

Paul’s site is a superb reference work and I should have checked their first. Thx for the reminder.

I have the same setup - greetings from Washington DC!

Mine does have Seamaster on the dial.

Great watches, still a bargain, not that easy to find them unpolished anymore.
