Omega Dynamic Geneve Budget Restoration Project

Dear All,
Recently I bought another Dynamic Geneve, it was real inexpensive. Of course, because it was in a poor shape : very dirty, Xtal badly scratched, original corfam band dead, movement not working, blocked. I took a chance !
After cleaning the case, sanding and polishing the Xtal and a serious overhaul, the watch is back, working nicely. I installed a custom leather band from MartuLeather. But then there is the dial ... damaged ? patinated ? it was part of the reasons for a low price ... at first I intended to swap it for a spare dial I have (a bullseye design) but then after a while I kept the "damaged "dial ... perhaps I will install the spare later ou not !?
Thank you for your attention,

Mind sharing what you paid for it?
I think you might be able to get a better dial for this particular ref. The hands still look pretty neat (lume could be exchanged tho)

Patina = damage
The extent that one can tolerate/like it is of course personal taste.

This dial is well beyond my taste threshold, but it’s your choice.

I wouldn't keep the dial, it is way past my standards. Also, one of the less attractive dynamic dials IMO.

That said, super cool watches with lovely movements in them, I'm a big fan!

I think the 1960s modern design of this watch deserves a dial that pops. To me these watches scream eternal youth, and a damaged dial like that reminds you that nothing is forever...its a bit of a downer.

$200 is a great deal for ANY of the Dynamics, particularly a mens size. I'd have jumped at that as a project as well.

For that prize it is a nobrainer. And if you have a dial lined up already even better. Don't forget to post a picture here after the swap 😀

Wow, great price and pick up! Rock it as you see fit, great freakin design.

You could always just change dials like some folks change straps. Rotate them.

Hi ! This purchase was a bit of a gamble !! it turned out nicely but it could have been the other way around .. it happened to me in the past ! and to swap the dials is a bit more work than to swap straps .. but possible indeed ..
