Just a thought but if this is a legit factory LE then it may have a unique case number. The standard model is 175.0310 so why don't you pop the back again and check what is written on the inside, if it differs from that shown here then there is every chance it is special. If not, well maybe not.

I'd be pretty skeptical.. Not sure why there would be a dynamic LE for a Moon watch related event.

Yep I too am now leaning towards the not-legit line to be honest. There does seem to be more than one out there but I am inclined to think that these left the factory with std backs and were made 'special' by a dealer to shift them, perhaps in Italy where this one is from? In their day both these and the 3 handers were very slow sellers and in the early 2000s UK dealers were practically giving them away, I have heard tales of buying a 3 hander for £250 from an AD back then.

Not at all....

Buy the case back for the proper watch as everything else looks spot on.

A box - which is actually a tin can be had for under £100

The work has already been done by others, but the serial number 56399483 is for a ref. 52405000, which is not an LE of any kind according to the Omega Extranet. The case they show for this model has no anniversary writing on the back like yours does - just the Omega logo and OMEGA underneath that.

Cheers, Al

Please don't call me that as I would not be able to believe in myself, which presents a dilemma when I look in the mirror...

Probably worth starting a new thread as people might see the title or the first few posts here and not read the whole thing if it's about something unrelated.
