    Hi,

My first post on this forum.

I live in Ireland and really do not want to buy my next Omega here. Over the next few months I am travelling through London, San Francisco, Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong. Does anyone know which of these places would be best to pick up a Seamster Planet Ocean?

    Thanks,

If you're buying new, any of those places will serve. I'd check prices in advance and buy there. You may be able to negotiate as well - discounts can be had, though duty-free shops are not always the best place for that.

Hong Kong would be my place as they seem to have the best and biggest Duty Free stores on the planet as they have been a stop over place for years.
Got my first ever watch from there as a kid

Not sure about relative costs, but if you're in Hong Kong, try Union Watch in Champagne Court on Kimberley Road in TST. The prices are good and they often have new stock.

All of HK is duty free, no import duties or sales tax here on anything. And tonnes of pre owned and non AD Rolex on sale. There is a Japanese guy in tsim sha Tsui who runs a grey import Omega store, when I'm back in the office I will see if I can find the address.
