Hey everybody!

I just got my first Dirty Dozen watch, an Omega and after some research I established there are two variants of the dials.

Let me first show my watch:

I do know the hands are not original and will try to find the proper ones. It seems the dial is relume. The rest any comments are welcome!

The curious thing is, that looking at all Omegas I can see two distinct dials. One has a bit more rounded number 4 and squares in the bottom are a bit more complete where touching the lower circle for second hand (see the arrows):

The other has a straight 4 and square is broken in upper right corner:

Was that official, that there are two styles? Relume and original? Or is one clone/fake?

Thnx for the feedback!

Hi, I like the case and movement. I believe the dial is a much later replacement. If it is one by the Ministry of Defense it is good too, but I doubt it. Probably best ask around at MWRforum.net. Also the place for spares.

I agree, questionable modern replacement dial… most likely not by the MOD.

What is concerning is that I see this dial design a lot looking at the WWW Omega pictures.

But look at that. This is exactly the dial design on my watch (rounded 4, full square), but has no MOD mark.

Why would someone make such a "destroyed/worn" fake? It looks quite pristine (auction on eBay):
