There are some watches like that, you don't really know it (or should I say her ), one day or the other you cross one and you"re trapped, caught by a single detail. You look for info browsing like a crazy dog during hours and hours to finally realize you need one, no matter what This is what I lived with the Omega Deville ref 146.017 Finding one in good condition has been impossible, thanks god there are collectors friends, one of the best of them had one for a while, some months ago, he decided to part with to finance a new acquistion, MP received, answer right away and I was done ! Here it is the date at 9 is a fabulous detail, the register hand flying over the date window just killed me ! its 35mm diameter is difficult to notice on its silver/white dial (my 16mm wrist easily welcomes it) What a dressy/sporty chrono ! I feel lucky and honored to own and wear such a beauty A dream came finally true So here's my question, I've read somewhere (can't remember where), these 930 Calibers were launched somewhere in 1969 at a time where the automatic chronographs were what the maket really needed. Zenith and Heuer did the job making it loud at the time, therefore the 930 calibers has had an overall production of 1000 units overall (including Bullhead production). Could anybody confirm or correct this ? Are there any reliable production datas for these ? and, by the way, would anybody have a scan of a period catalog to share ? Thanks in advance for your info. Best, Laurent
production started 1969. 10.000 pieces made, not 1.000. i had a few over the years, very nice example. were too small for me, always sold them. but will buy again, if the price is right. just kept my bullhead chrono. kind regards. achim
Thank you for the answer Achim. You mention 10.000 pieces made, are you speaking about the 930 Caliber or the Deville itself ? cheers, L
Very nice looking fellow (yes that's right, this watch is a him. Sorry to disappoint you there ) Great shape.
145.017 would be a fellow watch ? I don't care at the end, I'm very opened minded when it comes to horological beauties, thx for your comments, chers, L
... Oh boy, I'll have to queue up then ... This chronograph is definitely a wonderful and very loveable pristine Omega
I love these cal 930's, I have a NOS Bullhead, well it was NOS when I bought it three years ago, it now gets aired about twice a month, for me watches are like cars, they shouldn't spend their life locked away and never getting used
