Omega Deployant Clasp Question

I’m looking to order a rubber strap for the 3861 speedy and was wondering if there are different deployant claps part #s for stainless steel; specifically interested if there is a clasp with a shorter length.

The part # i found that people have ordered is 025STZ007387.

Thanks

I got a SMP 300m last week with a rubber strap and deployant clasp. I believe the clasp is the same as that you have referenced. The OB where I bought the strap was able to get me a short version of the strap. The standard strap did fit me but there was more overlap. Speak to your dealer and see if they can find a shorter strap. The clasp component itself can’t be adjusted but it can be slide up and down the strap.

There are different deployant part numbers. Here are the 2 types of deployants I have. The older style is just a hair shorter than the newer style but style is the biggest difference.

The one on the blue strap is 94521883
The one on the black strap is 94521813

IIRC, both of these are 18mm

I believe the clasp for the rubber strap in question is 16mm, fwiw.
If OP needs a 16mm, the part number for "steel brushed-polished short" clasp is visible above: 025STZ005266

I didn't take that picture above, so those are the only numbers I have to work with. If the watch is a speedy that's 20mm at the lugs, I feel like the clasp end should be 20 or 18mm depending on the brand. 20 to a 16 seems awfully tapered.

But a tapered look is all the rage now for the Speedmaster. People tend to want a 16 mm buckle end vs. an 18 mm. I have both, don't prefer one over the other, they both fit and wear well.

I think that if you buy the latest 3861 speedies on a strap, they come with a 16mm deployant clasp.

20/16 is the standard on new Speedmaster straps. 20/15 on the bracelets.

I personally like the taper as it is way more comfortable on my wrist.
