·Hi All,
I'm selling a few watches to raise funds to expand my business and equip the watchmaking workshop with some shiny new machines and tools. My beloved, recently acquired and very rare Platinum De Ville Rattrapante is for sale.
This is number 31 of 107 made and is one of the most beautiful watches I've ever owned. The platinum is heavy, this is a solid case. It has no marks I can find that are worth mentioning. All hallmarks and the serial number is intact and clear. Platinum is usually 95% pure when used in watch cases unlike 18k gold which is only 75% pure.
I do not have the box or papers and so I'm including one of the new type Omega wooden boxes. The new owner will also receive a new strap exactly the same as the one currently fitted. The white gold deployment clasp is in excellent condition. It is on order from Omega and will be forwarded once it arrives here. The staining to the back of the strap is from me wearing it in Hong Kong for a week during May, a very hot and humid month there.
The De Ville has the 3612 Co-Axial double chronograph, double column wheel movement. It is operating perfectly. In particular the rattrapante complication is actually useful unlike a flyback and it is a joy to use. I do not know the service history however the timegrapher shows it does not currently need servicing. The watch has clearly had very little wrist time.
