Hi guys,
As usual I ask your opinion for my next purchase. At the moment I feel safe with you, after the success about the last 2 watches 😀
I still can’t evaluate over polish sign or issue on the moviment

Omega de ville co axial
Ref 4831.5131
Cal 2500
- No original strap
- No card (but there is the billing of the purchase about 2014 from a German jewellery)

I think the watch need a service (lost some seconds a day)
There is a scratch on the case back (last attached pics)

Price is around 1000€
The seller has good feedbacks and the transaction is totally safety.

I will buy it for is lines, measures (37.5x8.5) , the first caliber with co axial escapment and for the good value for money.

what do u think?

thanks so much for your time

Sorry Ref is 4831.5031 or 168.1700, it doesn’t have logo applied and the co axial signature on dial

it's hard to judge scratch on caseback, but there's definitely engraved on back of the lug. Price is very good even if you throw in 2-400€ service and and new strap.

Thanks, for the price I’ve no dubts.
It’s important for me that there is not an over polish and the caliber is ok.
A service will be done for sure, and the strap change.

Looks good compared to mine.

The bracelet is ST 1601 943.

yes, I think omega service will be the best choice to have also a original warranty about the watch.

bracelet will be the second things, I love the “armadillo”. In the meanwhile I could adapt that of my de ville prestige chrono.

Price is too good almost. If I were you I'd want to make sure it's not a stolen watch.

the seller (an old man) will give me the bill about its purchase (he paid 1300€ in 2014) from a German jewellery in activity. So I d exclude this possibility.

is there a way to be sure?

If it comes with a receipt from a jewelry and it all checks out then you're good. If you wanted to remove any doubts you could go to an Omega boutique and ask them to run the serial number in the system. If they agree to service the watch I think there's nothing to worry about.

sure? Because on my de ville Chrono the armadillo should fit good (I see many pics on this forum)
The 1601/943 will fit, the one you call "armadillo". I meant the bracelet from your DeVille Prestige won't fit.

Seems like a great deal to me even factoring in the cost of a service. If it were my watch, I’d get the bracelet that SkunkPrince has on his - very attractive.

Relax and buy the watch. I'm not sure why a 300 Euro price hit from new would be alarming to anyone.

Thank u so much guys for your precious feedback. The owner is wearing the watch to “test” the power reserve and after the first of the year, I will close the deal.

I hope to update the thread soon.
Thanks a lot guys.
