I was thinking of selling my watch and would like to know what would be a reasonable
asking price for it.

Here are the details and photos attached:
One owner - watch has been worn only a few times since I purchased
it in 1985, new battery a week ago.
Omega De ville 1417, 45958038, MD3950824

Your best bet is to check eBay's sold and completed listings for the same or similar models.

That watch is not one that is desirable (unfortunate for you), so the reasonable price for it is whatever you get someone to pay for it. Can’t tell if it is gold or not, but if it is, it’s probably worth more as scrap than for the watch.

Only real way to know its value is offer it on EBay in a no reserve auction and see what it goes for.

I suspect it won’t be anywhere close to what you are hoping.

OK, thanks for the feedback. Forgot to ask - what does 20 with an omega symbol signify on the outside of the gold
case (attached photo - bottom right) ? Could you maybe help out with any specific description which I need to use in the advert e.g.
about the watch face, glass I remember is scratch resistant /sapphire ?

Could you maybe help out with any specific description which I need to use in the advert

I would suggest highlighting:
- original owner
- purchased 1985
- includes all bracelet links removed for sizing
- includes original box, manual, & international guarantee
