Omega Dark Brown Nato Question

Has anyone seen one of these in person? My eyes are not the best and I feel like this looks black to me but so does some shades of navy blue. I just wanted to confirm that these straps are extremely dark in general or if I just got an exceptionally dark one. I will attach an indoor and outdoor photo here so you can get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

I was thinking about leaving it out in the sun for a few days to make it fade a little or maybe wash it.
Does anyone have any ideas to make this a little lighter without damaging the hardware?

Thank you all so much for the help and advice.

That looks black to me... do you have any of the packaging it came with? should be a part number somewhere that you can look up to see if they just gave you the wrong one lol.

PandaSPUR - Thank you for the prompt reply. It was purchased at the time I bought my watch and included with my watch and delivered to my house with out any other packaging. I was just hoping it was going to be a little more brown looking. The proper part number is on the receipt.

check your part number. The brown is 031CWZ007566.
The black is 031ZSZ002083
The dark brown looks very very dark.
I have a brown cheapo NATO strap and it's turned very light just with normal wear and tear and swimming in the ocean.
Not sure how much the Omega polymide straps will fade. They are pretty nice quality.
Maybe take it swimming in a chlorinated pool?!?!.

I'm just realizing omegas website calls the black one the polyamide strap and the brown one a polyester strap... I wonder if they are the same thing.

Polyamide - tighter weave, more slipery, surface feels a little like seatbelt strap.
Polyester - looser weave, less slipery.

I use OMEGA original blue polyester strap for my PO. I like it.
