Thank you for the add. Nice forum you have here.

In 1981 my father purchased an Omega gentleman’s dress watch. I have the original bill of sale which shows it as a model DD6751. I have found it online listed only as a D6751.

The watch was worn three, or four times, stored in it’s original box and kept in a dehumidified safe. I am trying to determine if the bill of sale has an error with the extra “D”, or if in fact, this watch is a DD6751 which I can not find online, or determine a value for.

Any help would be appreciated.

Either would be correct.

Likely marked D6751 inside the case back.

Unfortunately not a popular watch in today's market, worth melt value of the gold plus $100 or so.

Thanks for your reply. It’s a shame. This watch is pristine and nearly unworn. I still have the original box and bill of sale from 1981.

Thanks again.

I think I have the same watch. Very good looking and a real shame if the value redounds to melt plus a premium. Fashion is a fickle thing, but I always feel well-dressed when I wear it out. It lends an air of "legitimacy" to have a sleek gold dress watch, even if it is not an "important" one.

Hi again, John. Just looking in 4 years on plus change. Did you ever find out what you wanted to know about your watch? What did you decide to do? What was the outcome? I have the same watch which I still enjoy.
