Dear Omega experts, Two days ago I lost the crown of my Seamaster 14763. Does anybody of you know where to get an original crown giving to me some specifications? This would be extremely much appreciated. Thank you so much Steve PS: Please find attached photos of the watch/model.
Hi. If you get to 200 posts, you can post a thread on the "want to buy" section. Sorry to ask but I cannot help myself.. how did you come to just lose a crown? Lovely Seamaster!
Hi, Have you tried to contact an authorised dealer, or service centre, it's possible they might not be able to get an original one from Omega anymore, but they could be a start at least and if you establish contact with them they could probably send you a photo of what a replacement one looks like, and you can weigh up whether you like it or not, i'm presuming, like me, you're not a watchmaker but like watches so you'll have to go to a watchmaker to have one fitted anyway, so it might be a good start to contact one with an Omega parts account, If you live in the UK i can recommend STS, they're a service centre not a jeweller so will charge a lot less than a high street jeweller, who will only send it to them anyway and then charge you their own commission, If not in the UK have a Google of "Omega service centre xxxx (your location)" and see what comes up nearby, or at least a reasonable postage distance away, one guy i worked with once had an obsession with a watch shop in New Zealand and used to send all his watches there to be serviced, each to their own
https://omegaforums.net/threads/crown-glass-gasket-list.81619/ Looks like you need crown 42055. I was able to find some by searching on ebay.
Those crowns have been discontinued for a very long time, so you'll need to get very lucky to find one. The 42055 is much easier to find, comparatively, and is your best bet for replacement, as that is Omega's official replacement, but it won't look the same.
Only slightly off topic here, but this 14673 looks very similar to the the 16024 and 16010 Seamaster. How are these different? Are these hand wound?
Those numbers you quote aren’t correct. The 166.010 is approximately the same watch. Not sure what you mean by the other number.
